The government issued Decree No. 73/2016/ND-CP on implementation and amendments to certain articles of the Law on Insurance Business, which came into effect from July 1, 2016.
According to Decree 67/ND-CP, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) implemented aquaculture insurance products, for which Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (Vinare) was chosen as the reinsurer.
In April 2014, Vinare was selected as the national consultant for the National Disaster Risk Finance (DRF) project advanced by the Asian Development Bank. It will enable the cities of Hue and Can Tho to cope with climate change.
