National Power Corporation (NPC) is a government-owned and controlled corporation that undertakes missionary electrification and watershed management functions. Its Small Power Utilities Group is responsible for the electrification of the missionary areas in Phillipines, which are not connected to the main transmission grid. The corporation generates electricity in these regions through its power plants using various fuel sources such as diesel, water, wind, solar energy, and biomass. It also operates and maintains the undisposed generating assets of the corporation, and manages the independent power producer contracts. The corporation also manages, develops, conserves and rehabilitates watersheds under its jurisdiction to support operations of hydro power plants and protect biodiversity. NPC operates in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao regions. It also owns and operates resorts, guesthouses and related amenities in Philippines. NPC is headquartered in Quezon City, Philippines.
