Summary

The global oil and gas production is expected to increase by 2.7% over the 2017 to 2021 outlook period. Total production outlook is expected to increase to more than 61 mmboe by 2021. However the capex is expected to drop marginally during the outlook period. A sum of more than US$300 billion is expected to be spent in capex in 2021. Also more than 450 planned and announced projects are expected to start production globally by 2021. North America leads with the highest number of planned projects, followed by Africa and Europe.
