It owns, operates and franchises restaurants and ice cream shops under the Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins brands. The company's restaurants offer a wide choice of donuts, bagels, muffins, hot and cold coffee under the Dunkin' Donuts brand, while serving a range of ice creams and frozen sweets under the Baskin-Robbins brand. Dunkin conducts its business operations through various points of distribution spread across the US and Internationally. It operates Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins restaurants including franchised business model operations. Dunkin is owned by a consortium of private equity companies: Bain Capital Partners, LLC, Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. and The Carlyle Group. Dunkin is headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts, the US.
In May 2015, the company signed a multi-unit store development agreement with NMR, LLC, to develop five Dunkin' Donuts restaurants and four multi-brand restaurants with its sister brand, Baskin-Robbins, in Albuquerque, the US.
