Quarterly Beverage Tracker Fourth Quarter 2016: Slovenia
In Q4-16, cold weather was not favorable for soft drinks and beer consumption, though it stimulated hot beverages. Soft drinks consumption fell by nearly 4%, with mixed performances from categories. Consumption of carbonates and packaged water remained stable. It was a disappointing quarter for dairy drinks with major categories down. Private Label products further performed below the soft drinks market. This trend is even more evident in the fourth quarter, as this is the festive period, when consumers are traditionally biased towards branded products.
