**FAME**

Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India (FAME India) Scheme Phase-II was launched by the government in 2019 for a period of five years (2019-2023) under a budget of RS 10,000. **Niti Aayog’s proposal for complete electrification of two-wheelers**

The government instructed the Parliament think tank Niti Aayog that all two-wheelers with a displacement capacity under 150 cc have to be electrified by March 2025.
