A major part of the sales distribution occurs through financial institutions or auctions. In case of default, the financial institution repossesses the machinery and auction it, to recover the investment.

  • By Purpose: The tractors are mostly used for Agricultural operations in Thailand. The farm tractor is used for pulling or pushing agricultural machinery or trailers, for ploughing, tilling, discing, harrowing, and planting.
  • By Region: 55% of the used tractors sold in Thailand were from Isan in the year 2021. However, the share of Isan in number of used tractors sold is expected to fall by by 2027F. There are irrigation problems and agricultural land size issues in the area making the inhabitants migrate to other regions.
  • By Distribution Channels: Offline channels has the lion’s share in terms of the distribution channel and is likely to prevail for a long period.
  • By Usage: The tractors are mostly used for a period of one to ten years. Most of the people prefer to invest on tractors that can be used for more than a year. A long-term investment in used tractors is usually preferred.
  • By Price: Majority of the used tractors sold in Thailand are the ones available in the range of <300,000 THB, followed by the ones sold in the range of 400,001 – 600,000 THB.
