A pan-India retailer needed to understand how frequent online shoppers , store-led buyers , and marketplace users weighed return windows, pickup convenience, and refund certainty when choosing between branded stores, marketplaces, and direct channels.
WHAT WE DID
We ran a structured online survey with 900 recent purchasers, balanced by city tier, category, and channel. The instrument captured policy comprehension , choice trade-offs , expected resolution times, switching triggers, and acceptable return restrictions.
DELIVERED
The study produced a channel preference map , return policy attribute hierarchy , shopper segment profiles, and message territories explaining which assurances mattered most across categories, purchase values, and customer tenure without attributing downstream commercial outcomes.
