Research Methodology

Research Methodology

Step 1:

Obtained data on transaction prices of the cars listed from negotiations conducted by the individuals purchasing the cars on online car websites. These negotiations provided valuable insights into the actual price at which the vehicles were sold, going beyond the initial listing price.

Step 2:

In addition to individual negotiations, collaborated with various online car companies to gather data directly from their portals. When a seller removed a listing from their website, worked closely with these companies to request the reason for removal. By doing so, gauged the final transaction price at which the car was sold, adding a layer of accuracy to the estimates.

Step 3:

Furthermore, supplemented the research by gathering data from invoices and other relevant sources when available. Continuously strived to obtain as much information as possible from reliable and credible sources, thereby enhancing the trustworthiness of the estimated transaction prices.

Step 4:

Understand the significance of ensuring the reliability of the findings, especially when the projects are funded by public and private entities. The multi-faceted data collection approach, encompassing negotiations, online portals, and other relevant sources, aims at building confidence in the accuracy of the estimated transaction prices and providing robust evidence for the research. By combining data from diverse sources and adhering to rigorous data validation processes, aim to deliver reliable and valuable insights to the broader academic community and project funders.
