Solvency II came into force in Poland on January 1, 2016. It is based on three pillars: risk-based quantitative requirements, governance and supervision, and disclosure and transparency.

In December 2016, Xceedance, a global provider of property and casualty insurance technology, analytics and consulting services, announced the launch of an operations centre in Krakow, Poland. The centre will provide services and support to Xceedance clients for underwriting, policy and claims management, credit control, and finance and accounting.
