The recruitment industry can be further divided into recruitment, temporary staffing and executive search. Recruitment and HR are more considered as a similar role with similar work areas. Both recruitment and HR have grown tremendously over the years and are increasing being recognized as one of the major activity for any organization.

The human resource (HR) industry in India has increased at a CAGR of more than 20% in the last five years and is valued at more than INR 20,000 crore. With the onset of MNCs entering the country, entry of more organised players, development of other key industries have changed the mindset of relying on old age system of referrals and have started accepting HR firms.
