In the Fourth Quarter of 2016, all commercial beverages saw a decline in the market. There was a mixed performance in the alcohol categories in Q4-16. Wine, spirits and cider all posted growth but this did not make up for the fall in beer. Iced/RTD coffee drinks saw noticeable growth once again although the volumes are still small. The iced/rtd tea drinks category did not perform well in Q4-16. Private Label appeared to perform better in the last quarter as branded players are less likely to promote outside of the key season.
